Arsenal make the trip to the Netherlands to play against PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
The Gunners finished third in the league phase of the competition which handed them a place in the round of 16. Whereas their opponents had to come through a playoff against Serie A giants Juventus where they won 4-3 on aggregate.
Arsenal’s best chance of silverware this season will come in the Champions League, as they are out the Carabao Cup and FA Cup. Plus the Premier League title race is all but over as Liverpool now have a 13-point gap after Arsenal drew 0-0 with Nottingham Forest last time out.
They will be without Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka against PSV as all five remain out with injuries.
Arteta will have to make the tough decision of who to start at the striker position, as he has been playing midfielder Mikel Merino there in the past couple of games – Arsenal are scoreless in two.
