Arsenal Vs Girona Team News, Betting Odds And Where To Watch In Champions League Clash

Arsenal are looking to confirm their place in the Champions League top eight with just a draw against Girona on Wednesday night.

Mikel Arteta’s side come off a 1-0 win against Wolves in the Premier League. Defender Myles Lewis-Skelly received a controversial red card, which has since been appealed by the club.

Before that, they won 3-0 in their last Champions League game, which came against Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb last week. It left the Gunners third in the table, just one point from confirming their place in the last 16.

However, even with a loss against Girona, they will likely qualify due to their high goal difference in the competition this season. They face the La Liga side, who eighth in the Spanish league, 12 points away from the top four. Girona are currently 31st in the table, and unable to make the Champions League playoff round.

Arteta will be without up to six players for the game on Wednesday, with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu all ruled out to injury. Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino are all in doubt for the game.

Arsenal made favourites at home to Girona

It comes as no surprise that at home, Arsenal are favourites, especially considering that Girona have nothing to play for as they cannot even get into the Champions League playoffs.

According to Oddschecker, Arsenal are backed at odds of 5/8 to win the game on Wednesday, which gives them a 61.5% chance of victory.

Meanwhile, Girona are backed at odds of 5/1 (16.7%), and a draw is backed at 10/3 (23/1%). We predict a comfortable 2-0 win for Arteta’s side.
