‘What A Sight To Behold!’ ‘Should Be Back For Pre Season’ – Fans Optimistic As Injured Arsenal Star Steps Up Comeback

Arsenal defender Rob Holding has been stepping up his rehabilitation from a knee injury.

The Gunners’ official Twitter account have shared a video of the centre-back back on the training pitch doing some light fitness work:

Supporters are hopeful that this latest update means he will return to first-team action sooner than expected:

Holding injured his left anterior knee ligament during the 2-2 draw with Manchester United in December following a collision with Marcus Rashford.

There is, of course, no chance of the player playing again this season. The initial diagnosis at the time was six to nine months of recovery time, which means he should return to full fitness between June and early September.

Arsenal fans will be keeping their fingers crossed he is able to get a full pre-season behind him so he is ready for the start of next campaign.

Prior to his injury, Holding was arguably the Gunners’ best centre-back, and they have certainly felt his absence in the second half of this season.
