Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has had just three shots in the Gunners’ last three league games away from home.
The club captain has been starved of decent chances on the road, and supporters on Twitter have been lamenting the service that the 30-year-old has been receiving in recent games:
We’ve turned him into Giroud.

Don’t worry though, Raul is at the wheel. He feels it will improve.

I don’t think 2 of them can be called chances.. just shots

Or, as Emery would call it, executing the game plan.

He’s now a defender. He played wing back yesterday.

Maybe playing him CF would help, far toouch of his time spent out wide

Aubameyang is very adept at creating chances for himself, and it makes the statistic even more damning that he hasn’t been able to provide much of a threat in front of goal away from the Emirates in recent matches.
The game against Leicester City was a perfect example of where manager Unai Emery looked to focus on nullifying the opponent’s threat rather than allowing the Gunners to play their own game.
The three at the back at the King Power was a defensive move, leaving very little support for the likes of Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
The Spaniard needs to be more positive away from home and to get match-winners like Aubameyang more involved in the game.
