West Ham defender Reece Oxford will turn down the chance to move clubs this month in order to seal a £3m move to Arsenal in the summer, according to reports in the UK.
The 20-year-old has not had a look in under Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini with his club said to be prepared to sell the player in the January transfer window.
The Gunners are unlikely to bid for Oxford this month, however, and that means the centre-back may have to be patient if he wants to make the move to the Emirates.
Borussia Monchengladbach are prepared to make an offer in January, but after having spent some time on loan at the Bundesliga club, the defender is said to want a move to another English team.
Everton are also believed to be in the mix for Oxford but as things currently stand, Arsenal are the club in pole position to secure a deal for the England Under 20 international.
