The Athletic‘s David Ornstein has confirmed that Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has no intention of leaving before the end of his contract.
The German is earning approximately £350,000 a week, with his current deal expiring in 2021, but when it was suggested by one fan that the 31-year-old could leave this summer, Ornstein replied:
No, he will not be leaving before the end of his contract (summer 2021)

Ozil’s agent Dr Erkut Sogut has already hinted that the midfielder will look to run down his contract, and it is not surprising considering the salary he is earning.
His performances are certainly not meriting his earnings, but the decision to give him such a lucrative deal was not made by those currently in charge of the football club.
The likelihood is that Ozil will be lining up in an Arsenal shirt at the start of next campaign, with a sale looking out of the question.
