Wenger is very likely to end up signing at least one of three Juventus midfielders. It was expected to see some of the Champions League runner-ups reconsider their future after losing the trophy. The first to do so is Claudio Marchisio who has yet to begin negotiations for an extension on his soon to expire deal. The Italian international who has been a key member of the squad, has 12 months until he is no longer associated with the club which means this is the time for Arsenal to try buying him.

According to TeamTalk, Marchisio would like to continue with Juventus as long as the team shows interest in extending their collaboration. If no offer comes, the Italian international is considering a move. After spending 10 years in Torino the 29 year old could be denied the chance to continue playing for Juve. He would be a great fit for the Premier League. He has a unique playing style and few players show as much versatility as he does. He is strong on his feet, fast and has a killer long range shot. Even though he will be turning 30 next year, he could still be of much help to Arsenal. Unfortunately, players like Wilshere and Ramsey who have yet to cement their position on the pitch might interfere with the transfer. Sure, both are amazing footballers, but neither of them have Marchisio’s profile who would be perfect next to Coquelin, supporting Ozil and two attacking wingers like Walcott or Sanchez.
