Wenger Taunted By Stoke Supporters In 1-0 Loss

According to Metro, Arsene Wenger was taunted by the Stoke City supporters after the Gunners lost to the Potters at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday night.

Arsenal were dealt a big blow in their attempts of winning the Barclays Premier League title after the side fell prey to Mark Hughes’ side. Stoke have always been strong at home, and the support paid off as Jon Walters scored a late second half penalty to win all three points. The result has given Liverpool and Manchester City a new lease of life. Arsenal amnd Liverpool are tied in second place but the Gooners slip to 3rd on goal difference. Chelsea still lead the table but by 4 points over Arrenal now, while City did not play this week. Manuel Pellegrini’s men played against Sunderland in the final of the Capital One Cup. City won 3-1, winning their first trophy under the new manager this season.


Wenger made it clear he undersand how damaging the loss was at the match in the post match press conference, and the Stoke supporters got their sweet revenge as their side won the points against a lacklustre Arsenal side.
