Wenger Taking On Commentary Job To Help Arsenal

There are three important strikers Wenger needs to keep a close eye on, as Arsenal line up for what is probably going to be one of their most expensive transfers in the club’s history. According to Metro, there are three important targets the Frenchman is currently following. The first player monitored by the Gunners was unable to make his World Cup debut against Brazil because he is currently suspended. Mario Mandzukic who seems closest to Arsenal than any other striker missed the chance to impress Wenger who is now moving on to Benzema and Balotelli. Both are announced as part of their national team’s starting eleven which is very good news for Arsenal’s manager.

Wenger will get a close look at several other players as well but it seems that Benzema remains on top of the list. The Frenchman recently proved he can play very well alongside Giroud and that they have no problem getting along both on and off the pitch. Hopefully both strikers will be used by Deschamps during the group stages.

AS Monaco and Colombia’s James Rodriguez may also get Wenger’s attention after his performance vs Greece where he scored a goal and looked like quite the player even though he is an attacking midfielder rather than a striker.

Balotelli who seems keen on returning to the Premier League is probably the third option Arsenal have when it comes to strikers. His temper and off pitch behavior is the biggest problem Wenger will have to face if the Italian does end up at the Emirates. Although talented, he is quite a handful especially for a team like Arsenal who currently seem to be missing a leader.
