Wenger Monitoring Ligue 1 Striker

Alexandre Lacazette has been in fine goal scoring form in the French league this season, and the 22-year-old has smashed 15 goals in 33 league appearances for Lyon. He has appeared in every youth team for France and he has an outside chance to take a place in France’s squad for the World Cup in Brazil.

Just like every other French player, Lacazette has been linked with a move to Arsenal as Frenchman Wenger wants to bring a striker to the Emirates next season. According to the Daily Mail, the 64-year-old is interested in a move for the Lyon striker, who is contracted at the club till 2016.

The report suggests that Lyon are battling with financial problems and a substantial bid may tempt them to part ways with the France striker. However, Liverpool have also been linked with the prolific forward and Arsenal will have to contend with their interest as they seek to provide more competition for Giroud up front.
