Wenger might not see out his contract at Arsenal

Arsene Wenger has admitted he may not see out his two-year contract at the Emirates when he discusses his job at the club at the end of the season.

Wenger signed a new two-year deal at the end of last season after the Gunners won the FA Cup, despite calls for Arsenal to part company with their long-standing manager.

But speaking in an exclusive interview with beINsports, the Frenchman was very non-committal when asked about his future.

“I said I sit down with the board at the end of every season and see where we go from there, so that’s not exactly the same,” he said.

“Sometimes you will say a sentence and people will turn it the way we would like to go.

“I have two years contract and I will always try to go the end of my contract, but I always have the honesty to sit down with the board and to see where we go from there. That’s quite simple.”

Wenger also spoke about the potential for him to manage an international side in the future, saying that it is a possibility.

“Maybe yes I will do it one day,” Wenger said. “But until now I like to be involved every day in a life of a club because the real test is there.

“Four or five weeks is a different experience, more concentrated, but I believe the real experience to manage a team is on a daily basis.”
