Wenger Looking To Make £50m Defensive Investment

The Gunners look determined to have a complete squad at the beginning of next season. After being linked to 26 year old Neven Subotic, Arsenal continue to be linked to Petr Cech and Morgan Schneiderlin. According to the Daily Mail, Wenger was given a £50m golden ticket to use on whoever he feels fit. With Southampton’s player being a priority even since last summer and with Subotic being a necessity after missing out on Hummels, it is very likely that the transfer money will be used for their signings. Petr Cech could come as a bonus opportunity which should not be overlooked. Chelsea’s player is not happy with his situation at Stamford Bridge and would like to become the number one again.

If Arsenal manage to sign these three players, they will definitely become a lot more secure in terms of defending. Hopefully at least one of them make it to Emirates. It is difficult to pick which name sounds more appealing given the difficulties the Gunners have, defensive wise. As far as money goes, £50m should cover it. Schneiderlin is the most expensive, being currently valued at about £20m. Cech costs half of that and Subotic is somewhere in the middle.

Expectations are high for what is to come, with all three footballers having no actual reason not to join Arsenal. Cech’s transfer could be the trickiest given the many years spent at Stamford Bridge.
