Wenger Hoping To Win Against Wigan

Arsenal are set to face Wigan in the FA Cup semi-finals. The Gunners have dropped to 4th place in the Premier League and are now hoping to at least conquer cup glory after missing out on the Champions League and all other domestic trophies. This season looked like the season for Arsenal to end their trophy drought. Unfortunately their thin squad due to injuries proved unable to face down Chelsea, City and even Liverpool who are currently Premier League leaders.

According to ESPNFC, all eyes are now on the match against Wigan, as Wenger seems confident his team will go through the final. After a poor performance against Everton, the FA Cup is all that is left for Wenger. Winning their first trophy in almost a decade is a very big deal for the Emirates side.

Hopefully they will pull it together as their recent performances give Wigan hope they can reach the FA Cup final. Wenger insisted that changing competitions also changes the way players behave. He might be right considering the fluctuating performances his team has had over the past few months.

Wenger looked confident Arsenal will go through the next stage of the competition despite their lack of form. Hopefully he will be right as Gooners have been waiting for way too long for a trophy to come their way.
