Wenger Feeling The Team’s Vibe Ahead Of Chelsea Match

Wenger offered yet another glimpse into his way of seeing football. His fine understanding of the game and of player psychology is a big part of what has enabled him to stay for so many years in London. The Frenchman who last season reached the 1000th match milestone explained to the press how he handles pre and post-match sessions depending on the players’ state of mind. According to the Daily Star, Wenger is more innovative and progressive than many may think. He will analyze each and every footballer and put together a training session to suite the group but also allows for the specific individual. He will consider the mental state as well as the physical state and will always pay attention to all signs coming from his players.

Hopefully this year Wenger is able to have his team feeling the right vibe so that they can avoid the 6-0 thumping they suffered at Stamford Bridge at around this time last year. Fortunately this year they have the game at the Emirates and the team are in a good place both mentally and physically so there is hope for a much better result given the good feeling around the Emirates and the League position of 2nd, not to mention being in the FA Cup final.

To be fair, there are few players who would pass up the chance to work with the Frenchman who is known for having an excellent relationship with his team. One of the reasons he manages to get along so well even with players with complicated characters is his ability to feel the vibe bouncing off of players both on and off the pitch. This allows Wenger to know when to push and ask for more and when to back off and help the team relax. Based on the reactions he gets he knows how to set up training sessions and where to direct his focus. Hopefully he will find the right recipe for the last few fixtures of the season when Arsenal need to be at their best to win the FA Cup and hopefully at the very least give Chelsea a genuine scare even if the Gunners cannot win the title this year.
