Wenger Confirms His Future Status At Arsenal

The future of the longest serving manager currently in the Premier League was in doubt after an alarming slump saw the Gunners slip from the top of the table after 19 matches to fighting to finish fourth and claim the final Champions League spot.

However, they are also in contention to win their first trophy in nine years if they can beat Hull City in the FA Cup final next month.

Wenger’s contract expires in the summer and he has, so far, not signed the new deal which has been offered to him. He has previously expressed his desire to remain at the helm for at least another season but had also added a caveat: ‘Unless I decide otherwise’.

According to the Mirror, the Frenchman’s contract saga should be coming to an end since he has confirmed that he will be staying at the club beyond the end of the current season. He said, “I’ve said that many times already, I’ve given my word to this club and I want to continue where I am. That means to stay.”

Wenger is reportedly preparing to spend big in the summer transfer window as he looks to reinvigorate his squad to again challenge for the Premier League title next season.
