Seeing Welbeck playing for Arsenal was one of the biggest surprises of this season. Not many expected Wenger to actually go through with this transfer especially with the rivalry between the clubs. It seems that Welbeck is more of a professional than he is a Manchester United fan. He has now become quite happy with his situation and has started playing better with each match. According to Metro, the English international is expected to be present on the pitch on Saturday when Arsenal face United. He was last involved in a game between the two back in 2012 when he even managed to score. It will be very interesting to see former Arsenal captain Robin van Persie as well who has not been very happy since Ferguson left.

Welbeck is in great form managing to score 5 goals in 12 matches and 10 goals in all for club and country. Leaving Manchester and moving to London seems to have had a positive impact on his form. It appears that the change in scenery has really helped the English international who is looking to improve with time as long as he has the chance to play on a regular basis. Arsenal are expected to have a hard time defeating United who have put together a really strong squad since Welbeck left. His transfer seems to have been a great deal for all parties involved which means there may well be no hard feelings or tension when the striker faces his old team mates.
