Danny Welbeck looks like the perfect solution for Arsenal who had difficulties handling certain adversaries due to Giroud’s profile. The Frenchman, even though deadly in front of goal, lacks speed and dribbling ability. He is able to handle massive defenders in the air but he rarely outruns faster opponents. According to Metro, Danny Wellbeck’s transfer to the Emirates will change that. The 23 year old has pace and can take on even the fastest of defensive players. Despite not being so efficient in front of goal, he can still bring a lot to the table.

The young English international’s qualities will help the entire team. Ozil is probably the happiest when it comes to Welbeck’s transfer. While playing for Real, the German international provided sweet through balls for players like Ronaldo, Higuain or Di Maria who outran their adversaries most of the time. With Giroud, Ozil had to change his playing style in order to provide his teammate with slower passes and over-the-defense assists. Fortunately, Welbeck is a lot quicker and could seriously increase Arsenal’s game speed when paired with Sanchez.

Walcott and Wilshere will also be happy that Welbeck moved to North London. Both love moving towards the box and engaging into short passing sessions which are hard to accomplish with Giroud who is more of a powerhouse rather than a refined technical footballer.

Many have high hopes for Welbeck who has had little chance to prove himself while at Manchester United. With Sanogo providing little competition, the 23 year old will have until the end of the year to prove himself and to help Arsenal through the beginning of the season.
