Arsenal could reignite their interest in Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli, according to Calciomercato.it.

The Gunners lost out to Juve when the Italian international made the decision to swap Sassuolo for the Bianconeri last year, but he has struggled to make an impact since moving to Turin.

Locatelli started the Serie A club’s first five league games before picking up an injury, but there are now multiple reports suggesting that he could lose his position as a regular starter in the coming weeks and months if his form doesn’t improve.

Calciomercato claim in their report that “we are talking about Arsenal” when referring to Locatelli’s potential suitor if Juventus do decide to part ways with the Italian international, who they signed for close to €40m (£34m).

The Gunners are on the lookout for a new midfielder, and Locatelli could be seen as a strong option to add depth in the middle of the park.
