Arsenal are one of a number of Premier League clubs who have been keeping tabs on Brentford winger Said Benrahma, according to reports in England.
The Bees’ playoff final loss to Fulham last night has prompted speculation that the Algerian international could be on the move this summer, with the Gunners, Chelsea and West Ham having been touted as potential destinations.
Benrahma’s asking price is said to be close to £30m and fans on Twitter think it is unlikely that Arsenal will invest that much in a Championship player:
Way too much imo

£30m? Willian for free is so much better

After yesterday’s performance I’m not 100% convinced he can handle it on the big stage.

Whoever pays £30m for him needs their heads shaking!

he is good but not 30M good.

He ain’t worth anywhere near 30 mill… decent player but would rather more to Willian and Coutinho and let them develop Saka, Nelson, ESR etc.

The 24-year-old has certainly had a good season, having scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in 46 appearances for Brentford.
However, with the Gunners seemingly closing in on a move for Chelsea’s Willian, it is very unlikely that they would consider an approach for another winger this summer.
Considering his disappointing performance in the playoff final as well, many clubs will also be querying his sizeable price tag.
