Arsenal’s U18s played Liverpool’s U18s in a pulsating 6th round tie of the 2015/16 FA Youth Cup on this past Friday night, with the reward for the winner a place in the semi-finals.

Arsenal Under-18s went ahead and set themselves up for a 2015/16 FA Youth Cup semi-final clash against Manchester City with an impressive 2-1 win over Liverpool U18s. In a crazy 7 minutes in the second half of a relatively uneventful match up to that point, Arsenal’s young Gunners went ahead through Stephy Mavididi with his 3rd goal in the competition before Irish defender Conor Masterson levelled the game for Liverpool after Arsenal had only been ahead for 3 minutes.

Kaylen Hinds put the U18 Gunners back in front to stay when he added the 3rd goal of the match in only 7 minutes of play securing Arsenal’s place in the semi-final setting the tone for what hopefully the 1st team will be able to emulate should they beat Hull City tonight in their 5th round replay and then beat Watford in the 6th round.
