Despite the unrest surrounding the club in recent weeks, following the incident with Granit Xhaka, Arsenal’s players look to be keeping themselves in good spirits.
During the warm-up before the Gunners’ 1-1 draw against Vitoria Guimaraes in the Europa League yesterday, midfielder Matteo Guendouzi employed the help of a local ball boy to help him win a ‘piggy in the middle’ training drill:
❤️ this @MatteoGuendouzi, @HectorBellerin, @LacazetteAlex, @seadk6, @LTorreira34 and @ReissNelson9 ?
"So how did you spend your Wednesday afternoon?"

It’s great to see the players engaging with fans and the ball boy probably couldn’t have dreamt of taking part in a game with the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Hector Bellerin, Lucas Torreira, Sead Kolasinac and Reiss Nelson.
Sometimes, it can be easy to criticise footballers for being out of touch with all the money that comes their way, but this sort of gesture does help to humanise them and show that there are some great personalities in the Gunners’ dressing room.
That character will certainly be needed when Arsenal face a challenging trip to play Leicester this weekend.
