Walcott Keen On Having To Fight For A Spot In Arsenal’s Starting Line-Up

Many names have been linked to Arsenal even since the beginning of the season. Giroud is one of the best forwards in the Premier League but he cannot handle the burden of scoring goals all by himself. Bendtner who returned to London this summer has been a big disappointment despite being given several chances to prove his abilities.

The Gunners lack firepower which could cost them the title at the end of this season. Despite Ramsey’s excellent form and Ozil’s incredible ability to create goal scoring opportunities, Wenger’s side still lack the same efficiency as City or Liverpool who are only just behind in the Premier League standings.

According to Metro, Arsenal might have to settle with a temporary solution until the summer. It was always hard to bring in a top player during the mid-section of the season. Berbatov may apparently be the one to get some of the pressure off of Giroud who is recovering from the injury he sustained recently.

Walcott just recently expressed his desire to perform in the center of the attacking line rather than on the right side. With that in mind, Berbatov’s possible move could mean the Englishman will come in direct competition with the Bulgarian who has a similar profile to that of Giroud. Even so, the 24 year old was confident competing for a spot in the starting line-up will only improve his game.
