Arsenal are set to battle it out with Manchester United for Atalanta midfielder Dejan Kulusevski, according to reports in the English media.
There were claims in Italy earlier this month that the Swedish international was interesting both the Gunners and Wolves, but it appears United are now also involved in the race.
Kulusevski is currently on loan at Parma, and his excellent form for the Serie A side has apparently seen his valuation shoot up to £40m.
The 19-year-old’s work rate and creativity are said to be the two main attributes that have attracted Arsenal to the teenager, with the attacking midfielder having provided five assists in only 13 appearances this campaign.
However, the Gunners will face strong competition for Kulusevski with Inter Milan and Southampton joining United in the battle for the player’s signature.
It is believed that the Nerazzurri are in pole position to sign the Swede currently, but it remains to be seen who will make the first move for the midfielder in January.
