It has been just over a year since Thomas Partey signed for Arsenal from Atletico Madrid for £45m, and fans have been discussing the Ghanaian’s impact following his move to the Emirates.

To be honest, it is a difficult one to gauge. Partey’s fitness record since arriving at Arsenal has been pretty poor and that has undoubtedly played a part in what has been a rather disappointing first twelve months.
There have, though, been times where you can see his influence on matches, and there is no denying that the Gunners are a worse team when he isn’t playing. It may be wise to delay judgement about the success or failure of the move until the end of this season.
