Unai Emery identifies £30 million Aaron Ramsey replacement

Unai Emery is eyeing Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski as a replacement for Aaron Ramsey, according to reports.

Ramsey’s contract at Arsenal expires at the end of the season, and the Welshman has thus far put pen to paper to sign a new deal.

The 27-year-old is demanding as much as £200,000 a week if he is to commit his future to the Gunners.

Arsenal are unwilling to match that fee, and have recently taken the offer of a new contract off the table, meaning Ramsey has little choice but to leave the club at the end of the season.

However while losing one of the club’s star players may worry many, it appears the Gunners may have already found a replacement for the former Cardiff City midfielder.

According to SportMediaSet, Napoli star Piotr Zielinski is the player that Emery wants to come in and fill his boots.

The Polish international was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in 2016, but instead chose Naples, where he has developed into one of Serie A’s finest midfielders.

Since joining the Partenopei, the 24-year-old has managed 15 goals in 96 appearances, including two in two this season.

Zielinski is rated at around £30 million.
