Oxlade-Chamberlain can play as a winger, but most of his football for Liverpool has been as a number 8 in a three-man midfield. Arsenal don’t play that system.
With Martin Odegaard as the number ten, Mikel Arteta plays with two deeper-lying midfield players, and Oxlade-Chamberlain is not really that defensive-minded so could he even play in that role?
