Turkish Giants ‘Getting Ready’ To Snap Up Arsenal Star Who Is Not In Arteta’s Plans

Besiktas are “getting ready” to sign Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, according to Sporx. The Egyptian international is currently on loan in Turkey and the Super Lig side are keen on retaining the player’s services.

Their cause has been boosted with it being reported that the Gunners will be looking to offload all of the players they have sent on temporary assignments this season.

The London club’s finances have been hit by the global health crisis and Sporx claim that any star out on loan will be sold unless a specific request is made by manager Mikel Arteta.

As things stand, the Spaniard has not asked to keep Elneny and Besiktas are now hopeful they can keep the 27-year-old beyond the end of his current spell with the Turkish club.

Arsenal spent around £7.4m on the Egyptian when he arrived from Basel in January 2016, and they will be looking to make a profit on what they shelled out on him.
