However, looking deeper into the numbers, a slightly different picture emerges. In terms of combined expected goals and assists (xG and xA), Torres’s (0.74 per 90) is higher than Trossard’s (0.45)

That means two things. Firstly, Trossard has been better at finishing his own chances this campaign, while Torres seems to be a bit unlucky that more of his passes haven’t been put away by his teammates.
