Had some difficult moments against Dominic Calvert-Lewin but the Frenchman was able to cope for the most part.
It was telling, though, that Saliba was unable to impose himself more on the game in possession at Goodison Park but that was typical of the entire team, who weren’t at their best.
With Brentford having Toney up front, it will be another weekend where Saliba will need to be up for the physical challenge.
