The defender had a disappointing night at the Etihad, with his usually reliable distribution letting him down.
While White was able to keep Jack Grealish quiet at times, as well as making a block to stop Haaland scoring in the first half, it felt like he was on a hiding to nothing.
Against Chelsea, he should have more freedom to get forward and do more damage in the final third of the pitch.
