Arsenal have made an enquiry for Norwich City right-back Max Aarons, according to the Daily Mail. The 20-year-old will be sold if a bid of £30m is made and the Gunners are said to be seriously considering a move for the defender this month.
With Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the squad, an approach for another right-sided full-back is not exactly a top priority and fans on Twitter have been debating the merits of the transfer:
top player

I love this player, he's our type

Maitland niles is playing really well and have Bellerin on the side lines he’s not really needed

Rather stick with Bellerin and AMN

We are not exactly flying where we can afford to loan players back, was madness to do it with Saliba, we need players now to win the Europa.

Do we need a right back though ?

Nah we good at that position now. We have other priorities

Wouldn’t be my first signing, but Héctor hasn’t been the same since he’s come back. Aarons is 19 with plenty potential. Spurs are lined up to go in for him this window, if it’s now or never rather get him in now.

Arsenal are believed to be considering loaning back Aarons to Norwich until the end of the season and it seems that competition for the player may be what is forcing them into making a bid this month.
Mikel Artera’s side are not the only club interested in the Canaries youngster with Tottenham, Everton and West Ham all said to be keen. Manchester United also looked at the right-back last summer before they signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.
