Tomiyasu To Start, Holding Out: Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Play Manchester United

Arsenal’s win at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening was unexpected, to say the least, especially after scoring four goals, when they hadn’t managed that many in their last six games.

The strong performance means manager Mikel Arteta is unlikely to make many changes to his starting lineup when they face Manchester United this afternoon.

Aaron Ramsdale will start in goal but there may be a change at right-back if Takehiro Tomiyasu is deemed fit and available. The Japanese international could replace Rob Holding, with Ben White moving back to the centre to partner Gabriel. Nuno Tavares will keep his place at left-back after a couple of solid games.

In midfield, Mohamed Elneny’s strong display against Chelsea should mean he stays in midfield alongside Granit Xhaka, with Martin Odegaard as the number 10.

Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka will almost certainly make up the front three after they all got on the scoresheet midweek.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Manchester United:

Ramsdale, Tomiyasu, White, Gabriel, Tavares, Elneny, Odegaard, Xhaka, Saka, Nketiah, Smith Rowe
