Like White, Gabriel dealt well with the pace of Brentford’s Bryan Mbuemo, although both would have been glad that they didn’t have to come up against the physicality of Ivan Toney again.
The centre-back pairing have also shown against Wolves already that they can handle both the pace and trickery of players like Daniel Podence as well as the strength and power of their number nine Raul Jimenez.
