Tierney And Nketiah To Start, Lacazette On The Bench: Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Manchester City

Arsenal return to action for the first time in three months when they travel to face Manchester City at the Etihad tomorrow night, with Mikel Arteta set to come up against his mentor Pep Guardiola.

It will be interesting to see how the two teams line up, considering the long break which has allowed many players to recover their fitness following injuries.

One of those who could be given the nod is Kieran Tierney who has now recovered from a dislocated shoulder. The Scottish international is more of a recognised fullback than Bukayo Saka so he may be given a chance to start versus City.

Hector Bellerin will likely line up in the right-back slot, with David Luiz and Pablo Mari expected to continue in the centre of defence.

In midfield, Granit Xhaka, Dani Ceballos and Mesut Ozil are likely to start, although Joe Willock has made a case for himself with his performances in recent friendlies.

Up front, Eddie Nketiah could keep out Alexandre Lacazette with the 21-year-old having impressed Arteta, while captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe could line up on the wings.
