Three players that Arsenal need to see more from this season

Arsenal boss Wenger will be relying on his squad of players to keep his team in touch with the top of the Premier League and to remain in all of the cup competitions for as long as possible next season. Arsenal are involved in the Europa League for the first time so they will have lots of playing time available for the entire squad. All members of the squad will play a crucial role in how successful the Gunners’ season will be but three players have been highlighted to play a decisive part in that.

Here are three individual players who need to up their game on a consistent basis to repay Wenger’s faith in them and hopefully bring the Gunners some silverware come the end of the season.

Aaron Ramsey

One of the stars of the European championships in 2016, Aaron Ramsey had a poor season until Arsene Wenger changed the system and the new 3-4-3 set up the gunners have been running has given the Welshman the chance to thrive. Goals at the back end of the season as well as assists will give the number eight plenty of confidence going into the new campaign.

Shkodran Mustafi

The Arsenal man is still yet to hit top gear in a red shirt, the German centre-half saw him and his team mates go 20 games unbeaten with him at the beginning of the season but since then it hasn’t been the same. Another player that has been much improved under the new system as he isn’t exposed to errors as often with the extra defender alongside him but Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be looking to his experienced heads such as Mustafi to play an influential part in the North Londoners season.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

The wide man has had a tendency to blow hot and cold throughout his previous seasons with extreme low points and high points at Arsenal, the Englishman is enjoying his best goal scoring season, despite this he still has many critics to prove wrong.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has matured massively over the past 12 months, arguably behind Alexis Sanchez he was Arsenal’s best player last season but consistency and fitness has been his problem in the past. The new season gives him the opportunity to shine.
