Arsenal have had a second bid of £25m rejected for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, according to reports in the UK.
Although the figure matched the Scottish club’s asking price, the Hoops were unhappy that the offer included add-ons, rather than a flat upfront fee.
Supporters on Twitter are frustrated with the Gunners’ negotiation tactics:
This is embarrassing

Only £25m and Arsenal FC (the most expensive ticket club) cant afford to buy him. Where is all the money?

£40million bid for Zaha, barely willing to stretch to £25m for Tierney. Christ, Arsenal really do believe it's 2004 still, don't they?!

At least splash £35m ?

25m in this market and AFC are still dragging, what a shame.

Reports do suggest, though, that Arsenal will return with a third offer for Tierney which they are confident will be accepted.
It’s likely they’ll have to pay most of the £25m upfront in order to secure a deal for the 22-year-old.
Fans will be hoping that these drawn-out negotiations do not allow another club to come in and hijack the deal. Napoli are also reportedly very interested in Tierney but, up until now, have not made a formal bid.
The defender is said to be keen to make the move South in order to further his career, so personal terms should be straightforward if and when Arsenal have a bid accepted.
