Arsenal could be set to offload both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah at the end of the season, according to reports in the English media.
Both players will have one year remaining on their contracts at the Emirates in the summer and supporters on Twitter have been debating whether selling two strikers is a good idea:
This confirms a new striker is coming in… but who I wonder?

Eddie yes, not good enough. But Lacca has easily been one of our best players for years. Never mind we’ll just re-sign Luiz for a laugh! ??♂️

No problem with that.

It’s a difficult issue for Gunners boss Mikel Arteta. His hands are tied in one sense as the club cannot afford to have any more players running down their contracts.
However, trying to find strikers of a similar calibre will be a challenge, particularly as there is unlikely to be a substantial transfer budget.
Were Folarin Balogun to sign a new contract and stay, he would definitely be able to fill the void left by Nketiah but the loss of Lacazette will still need to be addressed. It will be hoped that technical director Edu and Arteta are already looking at potential replacements.
