Thierry Henry Names The Two Arsenal Players Who Could Be Key To Beating City To The Title

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry believes both Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko could help the Gunners get over the line in the title race.

The former striker has dismissed the notion that experience could prove to be a determining factor in who wins the league between his former club and Manchester City but he still feels that the pair could play an important role:

“We have guys also in that team that won it – Jesus, Zinchenko. We have guys that won the title also before in the domestic league. Obviously not in the Prem, we know, but you’ve gotta believe in it, right? If you don’t win it, you won’t have the experience of winning it. You have to start one day, right? A lot of people (were) asking questions to City. They answered. Now people are going to ask questions about Arsenal. We have to answer.”

Jesus remains sidelined with a knee injury that he sustained during the World Cup back in December but manager Mikel Arteta has hinted that the forward is making progress in his recovery. If the Brazilian international can return for the run-in, it could be the boost that Arsenal needs.

In terms of Zinchenko, we saw against Aston Villa last weekend how determined he was to get the victory, scoring the second equaliser with an excellent finish from outside the box.

As Henry rightly points out, though, it will be up to every player to make a contribution, no matter whether they have won a league title before or not.
