Theo Walcott Recalls Famous North London Derby Moment As He Mocks Spurs Fans

Theo Walcott mocked Tottenham Hotspur fans in an Instagram post following Arsenal’s derby day win over their bitter rivals. He posted a photo from 2014, where he is holding up a ‘2-0’ gesture with his hands.

The picture was taken during Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Tottenham in the FA Cup Third Round tie. In that game, Arsenal’s goals were scored by Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky.

The post currently has over 197,000 likes and has also received attention from plenty of high-profile names in footballing circles. Rio Ferdinand simply replied with three crying laughing emojis, while Laura Woods wrote ‘Yes Theo!’ in the comments section.

Comedian Jack Whitehall, a well-known Arsenal fan, also seemed to enjoy the post. He replied to Walcott’s picture with a series of love heart emojis.

Arsenal dominated their game against Spurs on Sunday, thoroughly outclassing Antonio Conte’s men in every department. An own goal by Hugo Lloris and a howitzer from Martin Odegaard secured the three points and the bragging rights for the Gunners.

Walcott, 33, left Arsenal back in 2018 to join Sam Allardyce’s Everton. Currently, he plays his football at Southampton. He made 270 Premier League appearances for the Gunners, scoring 65 goals in total.
