The Original Arsenal News Aggregation Site – GoonerNews.com – Is Proud To Reveal The New Site Design Enhanced With A Number Of Awesome Features

Well today truly is a most significant day in the history of ScoopDragon Publishing Limited as we are absolutely delighted to announce the new design of GoonerNews.com to commemorate the 15 year anniversary of the first original, dedicated, unofficial Arsenal news website and blog. This upgrade has been some time coming (over 3 years!) but we really do feel that it has been worth the wait as we believe the new GoonerNews.com offers our super loyal user-base a number of excellent new features as well as a much faster loading.

As you will see we are still offering our users the very latest Arsenal news but we are also offering a number of new features. We have retained the well-known formula which our users have enjoyed for over 15 years, serving up the latest news in the clear and straight-forward way that has served our users so well but we have added some really sweet ways of accessing and consuming news and finding content that is most relevant to you.

In our brand new “News Menu” (can be swiped from left to right and vice-versa) located beneath the first ad unit on both desktop and mobile sites in addition to our updated every 2 minutes Breaking News we are offering Trending News from the most recent 2 hours prior to your visit to the site, Most Popular News Over Past 24hrs plus also Arsenal Video News where you can watch the latest Arsenal video news and even set reminders so that you don’t miss any upcoming broadcasts you want to watch. StreamFootball is an award nominated service who we are delighted to be partnering with to provide you with the latest videos all about Arsenal Football Club.

You will see that there is another new navigation menu which you can swipe from left to right. This first menu is located on the grey bar just beneath the logo. You can swipe from left to right to access the blog and its categories like Transfer News plus other pages like the Fixtures, Results & Table page, Latest Poll and then clicking on your choice.

This menu is also available on mobile using the traditional “hamburger” drop-down menu which is accessed by clicking on the 3 white lines to the right of the logo.

The “News Menu” which is situated just beneath the first advertisement you see at the top of the site, looks like this:

BREAKING NEWS | TRENDING | MOST POPULAR | ARSENAL VIDEOS

We have taken the time to “go under the hood of the site” and we have taken great steps to optimise the site so that page loading times are kept to a minimum meaning your news gets to you faster and slicker than in the past.

You will also notice at the top of the page the words “Select Team”. When these words are clicked by a user, a drop down menu appears presenting the entire ScoopDragon Football News Network sites. All sites are readily accessible with a click of your mouse on desktop or a little tap on your mobile phone, tablet or other device.

You can now very simply share the site itself or simply share individual articles themselves once you have read them by using the Twitter, Email, Facebook and various other buttons to forward your chosen item to friends/colleagues/family/fellow fans.

Another great addition to the home page is the blog preview widget which you will see as you scroll down the news headlines on the pages. This blog preview widget also allows you to swipe from left to right and features the option to check out our own latest original content by tapping/clicking on your chosen story or by tapping/clicking on the “VIEW MORE POSTS” button which will take you straight to the main index of the GoonerNews.com blog.

We are also offering the ability for our users to listen to our original posts which is ideal for those times when you want to catch up on the latest Gunners stories but reading them is not an option. This feature allows readers another convenient way to consume content.

We trust you find the new design to your liking and we apologise in advance for any minor issues you may encounter when using GoonerNews.com as we may have the occasional “teething” glitches but we will be working to make the transition to the new site as easy and as straight-forward as it can be. If you have any suggestions please don’t be shy – feel free to drop us a line and we will do our best to action whatever suggestions make sense.

After the latest comprehensive upgrades to the site we look forward to serving our loyal user-base for another 15 years with the very best selection of Arsenal News on the now legendary GoonerNews.com

Thanks for reading and using the ScoopDragon Football News Network and we hope you enjoy the newly improved site.
