Arsenal are weighing up a move for Bayer Leverkusen forward Kevin Volland, according to reports in England. Scouts have watched the 27-year-old on a number of occasions this season, and it is believed that his name will be put forward to new manager Mikel Arteta as a potential transfer target.
The German international could be available relatively cheaply with his contract entering the last eighteen months, but supporters on Twitter don’t think the striker is really needed at the moment:

he ain’t bad but come on lads there’s better options

Volland could play right across the front three, but the Gunners already have a wealth of options in that area, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Reiss Nelson.
It also must be said that Volland is not a regular goalscorer. He has scored just five goals in 17 league matches this campaign and has only averaged a goal every three games during his professional career in Germany.
