Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock made a big impression after coming on as a substitute in the 2-0 win against Wolves yesterday afternoon.
The 20-year-old’s pass set up Alexandre Lacazette to score the crucial second goal, while he could have made it three himself only for his shot to be cleared off the line in the closing stages of the game at Molineux.
Fans on Twitter have been praising Willock, with many comparing him to Aaron Ramsey:
The next Aaron Ramsey ladies and gentlemen

Ramsey 2.0 in the making

Totally agree, need Arteta to coach him into producing for 90 mins. Joe has flashes of brilliance & great work ethic but has the tendancy to dissappear for periods of the game. Not knocking Willock but do think we need someone to come in who is seasoned to support his development

I’m beginning to see where he fits in in this team now

There is a way to go before he can be compared to Ramsey, but there is no doubt that the Gunners starlet does have the potential to be a regular first-team player if he can improve his consistency.
That may well come with age and more game time, but Willock is already showing glimpses of the levels he can reach. His five goals and one assist in 38 appearances may not look that impressive but it must be remembered that he has only made 12 starts in all competitions this campaign.
