Arsenal are continuing their search for a new manager following the sacking of Unai Emery last month. Freddie Ljungberg may have improved his chances of getting the job on a permanent basis after the win over West Ham last night.

However, a new name has entered the fray in recent days. Former QPR and Swansea head coach Paulo Sousa is now a shock contender, with the current Bordeaux manager having been tipped as a potential candidate by TMW.

The Italian website claims Sousa’s €2m release clause makes him an attractive option, having guided Bordeaux to fifth in Ligue One after 17 games this season. The Portuguese is now third favourite at Sky Bet.
