Terry: Cech Worth 15 Points For Arsenal

Chelsea captain John Terry has said if Arsenal secure the signing of Petr Cech they will have signed a player worth 12 to 15 points for them a season.

It has been a tough season for Petr Cech, one of the best keepers the Premier League has ever seen. The Czech goalkeeper is almost certain to leave Chelsea this summer, after losing his place in the first team to Courtois.

Cech has been linked with a move to the north London and has reportedly already agreed personal terms with the club.

Arsenal finished 12 points behind the Blues in the Premier League table last season and Terry admits he would be an excellent signing for the north London club.

“If they do get him, he will strengthen them for sure,” Terry told TalkSport.

“He will save them 12 or 15 points a season. Petr was an unbelievable professional last year. When you get left out of the team it can be hard to accept but when he came in he was exceptional.”

“He deserves a lot of credit for that. We understand he wants to play first-team football but nobody wants to see him leave the club. He’s going to be sorely missed and will improve any side he goes to.”

It is apparent that Cech would like to join Arsenal in order to receive more game time and above all, stay in London. However, Chelsea are apparently reluctant to allow Cech to leave for a rival club and have insisted that if he is to make a move it is to a club outside of the Premier League.
