Suarez Receives His 1st Award Of The Season At The Emirates Stadium

The Football Supporters’ Federation awarded Luis Suarez with one of their most important trophies. The Uruguayan received the award at his rival’s ground as the ceremony took place at the Emirates Stadium. According to Metro, Liverpool’s striker is confident his team, which is in direct competition with Arsenal for the Premier League title, can take advantage of the Gunners’ poor form and stay in first place for Christmas. If Wenger’s side loses against Chelsea after the Reds defeated Cardiff at Anfield 3-1, Liverpool will more than likely be first in the standings for Christmas unless Chelsea bang in a crazy amount of goals.

Suarez who just signed a new contract with Liverpool, insisted his team is very close to reaching their full potential. The Uruguayan who has scored 19 times in the League has improved his game with every match despite missing the first 6 games of the season.

With the transfer period fast approaching there have been many rumors linking Suarez to Arsenal but after the striker penned a new four and a half year deal with Liverpool where he gets paid £200,000 a week in the last four years of the deal, it seems that the rumors linking him with a move to Real or Arsenal will end.

It is hard to argue with the contention that Suarez is the best player in the world right now and Liverpool certainly did very well to keep him in the summer when he wanted to leave.
