Barcelona have dropped their asking price for winger Ousmane Dembele to €42m (£37.4m), according to reports in the Catalan media.
It is a significant decrease on the initial €105m they paid Borussia Dortmund almost three years ago, but the financial impact of the global health crisis has led to transfer market prices to nosedive.
Arsenal fans on Twitter are, however, still unconvinced about Dembele’s new price tag, with many questioning his injury record:
STILL TOO MUCH

Can reduce that by another 30mil then he'd be worth it, spends more time in the hosp.

Not even for free. He’s an exceptional talent but too many injuries

We really don't need forwards the most important thing that we want is a Center Back, CDM, LB and RB

It is true that the France international has spent the majority of his time at Barca on the treatment table with hamstring injuries. This campaign, he has managed to play just nine games in all competitions.
However, the 23-year-old has undoubted natural talent, with speed and finishing ability that should make him one of the most feared wingers in the world.
If the Gunners were to take a chance on Dembele, it would be a massive gamble and considering the club’s lack of transfer funds, it is unlikely that they’ll take the risk.
