Spanish Star Expected To Be An Arsenal Player In The ‘Next Few Hours’

Arsenal will secure the loan signing of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos in the “next few hours” according to AS.

The Madrid based publication say that the Gunners have beaten Tottenham to the 22-year-old’s signature with manager Unai Emery having persuaded him that he will play regular first-team football at the Emirates.

Ceballos could have a medical today and AS believe the player could even be photographed in an Arsenal shirt before the end of the day.

Whether that actually happens, we shall have to wait and see, but it seems almost certain that the Spanish international will be playing for the Gunners.

Emery revealed yesterday that the club were looking to sign a player on loan, and name-checked Ceballos in the process:

“We are speaking about the possibility to sign one player. We have different names and the club is working on that. Ceballos is a very good player. I know him from (Real) Betis at the beginning and Real Madrid.”

It has been a slow transfer window for the club so far, but if Ceballos does arrive at the club, and a few more come in through the door before the transfer window shuts, fans will be a lot more optimistic about the season ahead along as Arsenal do not do what they have done in the past and sell some of their best players to finance incoming transfer moves.

The purchase of Gabriel Martinelli certainly seems to be a positive so Gooners may be more hopeful about this transfer window now the starlet has shown what he can offer Arsenal.
