The 26-year-old Alex Song spent five seasons with Arsenal before deciding to sign a five-year contract with Barcelona in August 2012. However, he has featured only sparingly for the Catalan club and has also been played out of position in central defence at times.

According to the Express, Song has now revealed he will return to the Premier League one day. He said, “If I leave Barcelona it will be to return to the Premier League. I will return to England one day, that’s for sure.”

He was also questioned on his relationship with former boss Wenger to which the Cameroon international replied, “He was like a father to me. He spoke a lot with me when I arrived to Arsenal. I wanted to renew my contract with Arsenal but in that case I would have regretted not joining Barcelona. Barcelona are the best side in the world.”

Manchester United seemingly have an interest in Song with Moyes looking to strengthen his options. The former Everton manager is reportedly ready to bring back Song to the Premier League this summer and the defensive enforcer is open to playing for the Red Devils next season if Arsenal are no longer an option for him.
