Arsenal supporters have been discussing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s decision to sign for London rivals Chelsea on deadline day.
The Blues have paid £12m for a player who was let go on a free by the Gunners back in January following a fallout with manager Mikel Arteta.
While some fans on Twitter are disappointed that Aubameyang has opted to make the switch to Stamford Bridge, others feel that he was entitled to do what he likes after not leaving the Emirates on his own terms:
Sick to my stomach. Didn't actually think he'll do it.
It's just business for him anyway.— Eniola Adewuni (@14Eniola) September 1, 2022
It is what it is. Really wouldn’t like him at Arsenal anyways even tho i respect everything he’s done.

No respect for him doing this. None at all.

He didn't leave the club out of his will, he was pushed out of the club and he decided to move on. He did his best while he was here and won a few cups. He doesn't own us any loyalty since we lack forgiving spirit and empathy. Good luck to him thou but definitely not against us.

He's not a club legend. He can go wherever he wants.

It’s a difficult one. On the one hand, he was Arsenal’s captain for the best part of two years, so you would think that he would have some sense of loyalty to the Gunners.
However, after the way Aubameyang’s exit was handled, he may feel that he doesn’t owe the club anything. Arsenal fans probably won’t lose any sleep about his move to Chelsea, considering most feel they have brought in an upgrade in Gabriel Jesus.
