‘Should Not Be Ruled Out’ Serie A Tipped To Swoop In For For 25M Rated Arsenal Ace

Roma are interested in signing Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to Sky Italia. The news channel says a bid for the Frenchman “should not be ruled out” if the Serie A side’s deal for Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham collapses.

Talks between the Giallorossi’s sporting director Tiago Pinto and Abraham are expected to take place today after the Italian side agreed a €40m (£34m) fee for the 23-year-old.

However, Abraham is reluctant to join Roma, preferring a switch to the Gunners instead, and were a move to stall, an attempt to sign Lacazette could be made.

The 30-year-old is reportedly available for around £25m, and were he to make the move to the Stadio Olimpico, it would coincidentally help to finance Arsenal’s bid for Abraham.

Mikel Arteta’s side are interested in the England international but, up until now, they haven’t been able to raise the funds necessary to meet Chelsea’s asking price.
